The community of Kėdainiai "Atžalino" gymnasium joins

the global Daffodil Project.

In autumn 2023, we planted 500 daffodils in honor of 1.5 million children killed during the Holocaust and children suffering from humanitarian crises around the world today.

In spring 2024, daffodils brought hope, light, beauty and unity.

April 11, 2024 an integrated open activity of history, the Lithuanian language, the English language  and arts took place in Kėdainiai "Atžalynas" gymnasium - ''But I am that unspoken word and shadow ...''

The event was attended by Kėdainiai High Schools:

Kėdainiai "Ryto" pro-gymnasium,

Students and teachers of Kėdainiai "Aušros" pro-gymnasium and Kėdainiai "Atžalynas" gymnasium of Lithuanian Sports University.

Rivka Strichman

In August 1941, Niuta's family was moved to the Kaunas ghetto together with other Jewish residents of Kaunas. They managed to survive and even protect Rinale until the liquidation of the ghetto. They hid in the last days of the ghetto, but in July 12, 1944 they were discovered and deported to concentration camps. Niuta and Rinalė died in Stutthof.
